A leading manufacturer of custom lift truck attachments was working on a challenging project. They were developing a new attachment that would expand a lift truck’s capabilities by allowing it to more safely handle hazardous materials. This highly specialized attachment needed to be able to transfer both hydraulic fluid and electrical power out to a rotating arm so that the lift truck operator could safely grasp, lift, rotate and dispose of toxic waste.

The assembly consisting of a four passage hydraulic union with 3/4” ports to handle the hydraulic needs and a twelve-circuit slip ring (each circuit rated at ten amps) to supply the lift arm’s power requirements. Using standard Rotary Systems components, the new assembly was delivered to the customer on time and on budget.
